Through live music, gentle movement, guided meditation and an audience conversation, Claire and Shavita bring together lived experience, wisdom and creativity to explore what happens when women are supported through life's biggest transitions rather than expected to carry them alone.
At the heart of this event is a simple belief: we are not meant to do this alone.
Together we create space to ask the questions that often go unspoken. To share stories that help us feel seen. To discover language for the experiences many women have lived through but never fully understood. To connect with others navigating similar seasons of change.
Presented in the spirit of Matrescence Festival, this is a child-inclusive gathering where babies and children are not an afterthought, but a valued part of community life. Wireless headsets allow adults to remain immersed in the music, conversation and meditation while children move, play, feed, rest or simply be themselves nearby.
Hosted in the community hall at St Margaret's Church in Eltham, the space will be transformed with soft furnishings, room for little ones to explore, creative activities for children, outdoor play space and a nourishing afternoon tea shared together.
